Canicross
Canicross is an exciting and fast growing sport of off-road running with your dog. It is a fun, social and effective way for you and your dog to get fit in a safe, controlled way. With the use of specially designed equipment you run hands free with your dog pulling out in front of you in a fitted harness, attached by a bungee line. You can run with more than one dog and you don't have to be an experienced runner to enjoy the sport. Canicross is suitable for all abilities of runner and dogs over 12 months old.
Dogs and handlers must be capable of a brisk 30 minute walk and have their own equipment at the start of course - whilst not essential it is highly recommended that you try a taster session first. We run in various local venues, mostly wooded, with good access to parking and water.
